Grace Connections Home Care was founded in 2008, but established in March 2024 by Ms. Norman, wonderfully known as a caring and compassionate person! Ms. Norman, the incredibly gifted, Humanitarian and Founder of One Coat, One Child, and more recently, Tho-Down Catering was born and raised in the inner City of Chicago, Illinois.

She is a humble success story, having worked tirelessly her entire life, helping and making a positive impact on the lives of others. Despite facing numerous barriers and challenges, she never gave up. Growing up in poverty on the toughest side of Chicago, she developed a strong faith in God, perseverance, and tenacity. Through great sacrifices and life-altering decisions, and by the grace of God, she overcame trials and tribulations.

It’s important to share her story, as many only see the outside of a person and often misjudge or mistreat without knowing one's journey. Her strong faith in God and the miraculous outcomes in her life are a true reflection of God's grace, love, and mercy. She embodies these qualities daily, fulfilling her purpose and impacting the lives of others.

Ms. Norman is passionate about helping the elderly, seniors, adults, children, and the disabled, which inspired her to create this business to provide professional, quality, home care services 24/7. With over 30 years of diverse experience -including Human Resources Management, family case management, caregiving, and housekeeping to support her college education, she brings a leadership style defined by compassion, resourcefulness, and a strong commitment to ethical standards, and integrity. Ms. Norman earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Psychology from National Louis University, and a dual Master of Arts in Organization Leadership with concentrations in Human Resource Management, Higher Education and Student Services from Lewis University.
One Coat, One Child was founded in the winter of 2006 after seeing a young child walking to school in a sleeveless shirt and sweater during a blizzard. From October 1st to March 1st, fundraising is held to collect and hand-deliver new winter coats and new winter gear to low-income families with children in need. Recipients include those living in homeless shelters, warming centers, domestic violence shelters, and those receiving support through case management services and unemployment offices across Illinois.

To donate "new" winter coats or "new" winter gear for children (newborn to 19 years old), please contact us! Thank you so much for giving the gift of warmth to families with children in need of help! Thank you!
